Located in Kansas City is Worlds of Fun a rollercoaster amusement park for your family that is also connected to a water park called Oceans of Fun! The park is known for its different events, it isn’t too late to check out their Worlds of Fun Grand Carnivale if you are reaching this post in late July and early August! I wanted to share with all of you our experience with Grad Carnivale and Worlds of Fun! This post is sponsored because I was provided media tickets to visit the park for this event.
Worlds of Fun Grand Carnivale
Grand Carnivale is an international festival at Worlds of Fun, with the ability to taste new foods from different cultures, see live entertainment, and enjoy their Spectacle of Color parade! Our family visited during one of the hottest days and I wanted to share our experience and how we navigated the event! Our family loved being able to enjoy the rides from the park and then also experience the event, crafts, new foods, and more! If you happen to be reading this in other months, we also shared our experience at WinterFest!
Worlds of Fun
We wanted to get as much as possible into our Worlds of Fun Grand Carnivale visit, so that we did! You can’t visit Worlds of Fun without enjoying the park for what it is known for and for my family that is family fun! We knew that we were visiting on one of the hottest days so we arrived early and were able to carry in an unopened water bottle each. We decided we wanted to hit up the games along with the rides! We prefer the rides that have a little less thrill but part of the family did do a rollercoaster! Whether your family likes slower rides or rides with loops, twists, and hills you can find it all! After we were at the park for most of the morning with the kids, we decided since we lived close that we would cool off at home and then return to experience the events of Grand Carnavale! If you purchase single-day tickets, you can leave and grab a reentry ticket for the same day on your way out.
Grand Carnivale International Cuisine & Entertainment
While visiting the Carnivale table on the way into the park, you can grab some beads for the family and pick up the information to do a scavenger hunt game around the different cultures! You can purchase tasting cards, but be sure to have an empty stomach because it was so much food we couldn’t even use up all our cards (that is not like us at all because we love foods and desserts)!
Our family loved the Flavors of Carnivale International Cuisine! We didn’t try the drink as we stuck to drinking water that day, but the food was so good that my kids are still talking about it. The Chicken Fried Rice from China, the Churros from Spain, and the Burgers from France were just some of our favorites!
While we ate we played more games and visited the shade to create our own masks and crowns to wear throughout the park! Once we filled our bellies, we had to hit up some more rides and games. We loved watching the parade with the brightest colors ever and fun dancing on our way out of the park! As we left we turned around and enjoyed fireworks in the sky!
What We Loved Most
Our visit is one of the events and memories where our family created a lot of memories. I know my kids will remember how much fun we had at the park, all the food we ate, and the rides we were able to do over and over again when they asked for, “one last time.” When it comes to family fun, I know that creating memories is important. During this visit, my kids were into crafts and the kids’ rides. I know as they grow they are going to grow past that stage and be more into the thrills and socializing! We are now definitely entertaining the idea to get season passes! I know that my kids are now asking to go to Oceans of Fun as well!
Be sure to add Worlds of Fun to your next midwest vacation or staycation if you are in the Kansas City area!
