Disclaimer: I was provided on an all expense paid trip to promote this film, the parks, and Disney’s Conservation Fund. All opinions and stories are my own!
Monkey Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Walt Disney have one thing in common and it is quite obvious! They have a love of telling stories and animals! It all started with a man and a mouse right? Did you know that Monkey Kingdom is Disneynature’s newest film that is now playing in theaters!?!
Monkey Kingdom Tells a Story: While in Disney World this last week, I was able to screen Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom. Like Walt Disney who loved to tell stories, Tina Fey tells a story of the cutest little monkey family! Monkey Kingdom is a documentary that you won’t want to miss! Read my Monkey Kingdom Review.
Animal Kingdom’s Backstage Tales Tour Tells a Story: I went on a private backstage tour in Animal Kingdom where adventure awaited! We met at the beginning of the park, learned about Walt and nature, walked through Animal Kingdom, and then explored to an exclusive backstage area where cameras weren’t allowed. It was beautiful. We were able to see the barns, the kitchen where they cooked all of the animal food, and even the Veterinarian hospital where a little birdie was getting treated. The backstage tour got us the closest to many of the animals. We learned a lot about how they take care of them, feed them, and more! At the end we had a special presentation with a special elephant treat that you can only find on these tours!
Walt Disney was a storyteller as well! Every strong company has a story and a mission. Disney is still living Walt’s dream as they do good for conservation, create Disneynature films, and have experiences like the Animal Kingdom Backstage Tales Tour.
Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom in now playing in theaters!

Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya’s whole family retreats, and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to uncover untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.
