We LOVE Trolls and I couldn’t be more excited when the show Trolls: The Beat Goes On Netflix show!
After seeing the movies, Trolls and writing a review, our family wanted more!
My kids love Trolls and Poppy and we have an adorable Elf on the Shelf that we had to incorporate with that theme.

The printable we created above is better than our first attempt at making our poppy elf!
Trolls Band Together Review
Myla Tosatto
Is Trolls Band Together Appropriate for Kids?
You better believe it! It’s so kid-friendly, that children will be right at home singing and dancing with Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) and all of their friends. The better questions may be. . .
. . . Will Kids Want to See It and Will Grown Ups Want to See It?
Duh! Kids are going to love meeting Branch’s siblings: Clay (Kid Cudi), Floyd (Troye Sivan), Spruce/Bruce (Daveed Diggs), and John Dory (Eric Andre), as well as new characters Viva (Camila Cabello), Velvet (Amy Schumer), and Veneer (Andrew Rannells). The jokes fly. The animation is on point. There are so many songs stuffed into the movie. Macrame is introduced! What’s not to love?
Parents will enjoy the boy band aspect of the movie. Branch and his brothers were formally in the group BroZone and must reunite to save one of them. Anyone who grew up with NSYNC, New Edition, New Kids on the Block, and 98 Degrees posters on their walls will enjoy the musical puns. Grandparents will even enjoy the music since not only is new and current music used, disco and yacht rock show up as well.
What is the Biggest Difference Between Trolls Band Together and the previous movies, Trolls and Trolls World Tour? Will You Need to Have Seen These Two Theatrical Movies or the Holiday Movies or TV Show?
The biggest difference is that former characters like Guy Diamond, Chenille and Satin aren’t featured as much as Branch’s Brothers and Tiny Diamond (Kenan Thompson). Also, Poppy’s story takes a backseat to the Backstreet (Boys). Hopefully, there will be another movie that will revolve around Poppy, Viva, and Bridgette (Zooey Deschanel). That is some girl power that we need and deserve! Tiny Diamond should also get his own movie. He was the breakout star of Trolls Band Together!
You do not need to have seen the other movies and shows to enjoy this movie. It doesn’t hurt. It won’t take long to learn that Poppy is a joyful scrapbooker and Branch is a grumpy curmudgeon. And they sing. A lot.
