Following good weekly cleaning habits can help you get your house clean. Nobody likes cleaning, but it has to be done. Why make your life harder than it needs to be. There are several great tips and routines that you can follow. Here are my top 5 weekly cleaning habits that will defiantly make your life a lot easier! This post is sponsored.
1. Pick A Room and Declutter:
There are several things you can do about decluttering, but my favorite way to do it is using a four-box system. “Four-Box Method” — using four boxes or storage bins, you can streamline your decluttering job. Have a box for trash, giveaway/sell, storage, and lastly one for put away. This helps make the process go much quicker since you know where you want things to go. I would start in the most used room and work your way to the least common one.
2. Wipe Down Surfaces:
Take a few minutes weekly to wipe down all the surfaces. Even if they don’t appear to be dusty. This will help keep the germs under control. The all purpose cleaner from YVY is perfect for everyday cleaning. It eliminates odors and leaves a soft citrus scent. It is absolutely amazing for cleaning floors, windows, and almost the entire house. This green product smells amazing and even works on glass surfaces.
3. Get the Kids Involved:
The best way to make your life easier is to get the kids involved. Not only are they helping you, but you are teaching them important skills they need to know as they grow older. I have found it helpful when getting other family members involved in the cleaning process to have a printable cleaning list that you can assign cleaning chores to your kids or husband. This helps keeps everyone on the same page.
4. Do Laundry Daily
A daily laundry habit is life-changing. Pop a load in before heading to work. Transfer damp clothes to the dryer after dinner, then fold them while during commercial breaks on TV. Putting away one load of laundry takes almost no time. Do it on your way to bed.
5. Don’t Forget the Little Things
Lastly don’t forget the little things. You will want to remember to wipe down the sink and faucets. Be sure to think about the other little things such as the blinds, pets, doorknobs, doormats, drains, and picture frames. These are just some of the fine details that can go missing, but if cleaned weekly it will make a big difference.
Do you have a weekly routine that you follow? Or are there tips that use weekly that help makes your life a lot easier? I would love to hear about it! I am always open to new ideas.
