My husband asked me yesterday, “What is this new Tom Hanks’ Disney Movie with Mickey as his shadow?” Since my husband and I discuss every upcoming Disney movie and he reads my blog I realized that I better share the details with everyone! All the details came out this last July. I didn’t have a chance to post about it because I was busy making a human (okay I had God’s help). BUT seriously here is an upcoming classic coming to the big screen this December and I felt it was appropriate to share with everyone.
I grew up watching Mary Poppins. I still remember sitting cross legged on the floor at a family friends house that we visiting almost daily and watching this it. Now this story is about how Walt Disney’s daughters wanted him to make a movie about their favorite book. This movie is basically about Walt and being the iconic Walt Disney entrepreneur.

Armed with imaginative storyboards and chirpy songs from the talented Sherman brothers, Walt launches an all-out onslaught on P.L. Travers, but the prickly author doesn’t budge. He soon begins to watch helplessly as Travers becomes increasingly immovable and the rights begin to move further away from his grasp.
It is only when he reaches into his own childhood that Walt discovers the truth about the ghosts that haunt her, and together they set Mary Poppins free to ultimately make one of the most endearing films in cinematic history.
