The TRUTH About the NEW Facebook Offers Tab! The Good. The Bad. The Ugly!
Hello readers, it has come to my attention that some of you are disliking the new Facebook Offers tabs! I wanted to get down to the nitty gritty & tell you my opinion. I have worked a year and a half to build up a fan base honestly by providing good deals and buying good prizes to give away to attract new readers with similar interests. I am alway doing my crazy deals to help you find a product at the cheapest possible price by using coupons, deals, and cash back!
Facebook has made some changes and out of my 29,000 fans less that 1,000 fans get to see my messages on their walls. To me…If I LIKE a page, I want to see their updates. I dislike having facebook make these decisions for me (but it is their business and not mine. I choose to love facebook.)!
Also, if I spend an hour finding and writing up a deal I want ALL of you to see it! So how do I get the offers to show up on more fans pages. I can use the more offers tabs! It can cost me anywhere from $0.00 to $100’s of dollars! Lucky for me I had a $50 fb coupon code (of course I did…hehehehe) so I haven’t spent ANY money using these offers.
Depending on how much I want to “spend” on this post then FB will let the offer appear on more readers pages. GREAT for you and great for me.
The GOOD: You will get to see more offers with less likely of a chance of missing out on a HOT deal! Right now I have coupon codes to make these offers FREE! Plus I alway choose the lowest amount and cancel it after it reaches a few dollars at the most :).
The BAD: If you don’t want your readers to know which offers you have claimed then be sure to checkmark on the bottom of the left hand pop up window that you don’t want anyone else to see you have claimed it. You have to do that one extra step.
The UGLY: Some bloggers can try to make them sound misleading. BUT this isn’t ONLY for offers. Those pages are doing this on their posts as well! Also, some bloggers I have noticed are making it look like it is BAD to use them and not to trust them, I don’t understand why people would do this unless it was a true fake offer. Some like to bring others down to make them look good. I do my BEST in finding you legitimate offers that I have tried myself!!! I can’t tell you why people feel this way, but everyone is titled to their opinions.
Warning: Be sure to follow the pages you trust, the pages you like, and those that are most like you! 🙂 I hope these offer deals don’t stink and I hope they work out to benefit us all after we get use to seeing them in our feed. I do wish I could get an Old School Facebook back to normal on how it USE TO BE! 🙂 So I am totally with you on this!!!

When the offers promo began rolling out, I was one that didn’t like them. Why? Because FB was getting flooded with a TON of misleading offers. For example, FREE $10 Target Gift Card, 100% FREE Photo Canvas (and not mentioning that the customer would have to pay shipping), etc… I believe that some bloggers DID use the facebook offers to gain traffic and to mislead their readers to click on the offers, while the others only wanted to help more of their readers see the deals and coupons to HELP their readers.
I originally posted AGAINST the offers because I didn’t want MY readers thinking I was going to mislead them, like so many others have 🙁
I didn’t post against the offers to make myself look good. I did it because I wanted to make my readers aware that I wouldn’t mislead them or spam them. I now know that if I ONLY the awesome offers that I usually post, that everything will be just fine 😉

Those blogs who are being misleading are also posting the same deals just as a regular post. The difference is who is seeing your deals. You should post items that aren’t going to mislead your readers….why not post them so more can see?
