The Christian Capitalist Book Review
If you are a Christian and wondering how making money, building your business, creating your revenue, and being a good steward to the poor all work together, this book is very interesting.
What I enjoyed most about it is that it is well-written about doing good and being a capitalist but also filled with scriptures that are tied to the messages of the book.
At first, I was concerned that the scriptures would just be written around the parts of the book to defend its point. I learned that the points are created based on the scripture. The author does a good job of taking the scripture and showing how it supports our day-to-day jobs, work, and giving to others.
It was quite refreshing to take a break from reading The Hunger Games to reading a book with meaning and purpose. One of the quotes I liked from the book was, “We cannot serve God and wealth, but we can serve God with our wealth.” Of course, all the questions that arise from that statement are discussed in that chapter.
