If you are a parent with kids who are very interested in social media, you might be wondering if Tangi App is and wondering if Tangi is safe for kids. I am hoping to share my experience with all of you about Tangi! This post is sponsored by Tangi. My paid opinion of this app is honest and in no way is persuaded by my partnership.
Is Tangi Safe for Kids?
Tangi is a social media app created by a team at Google for people to explore creative videos of ideas, recipes, crafts, home decor, parenting tips, and more. I have been creating content for Tangi since this January around the time it launched to the public.
With my experience, I haven’t came across anything on the app that would tend to not be appropriate for children. With that being said, children are definitely not their target audience. The app is made for adults who are looking for an inspiring video dream board!
Like any social media app, there is the ability to comment, communicate, and upload videos on Tangi. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend this app to kids just like I wouldn’t recommend Pinterest or TikTok for kids.
Benefits of Tangi
Tangi is very useful to create inspiration lists and categorizing them into what they call “albums”. You can find your albums under your bookmarks on your profile page. You can also see your “Try Its” where people who have tried making your recipe, craft, or art can share what they did when they tried it!
Tangi is also owned by Google. They have started to appear in search engines which is great because I imagine as the app takes off it will get some priority SEO over other social channels that appear in search results.
