Sweet Night Mattress Review
Three years ago, our family moved into a new home and we needed a new twin size mattress for my oldest daughter’s bunk bed. We purchased a spring mattress for her that was only $100 and 5 inches thick. She is very small for her age so at first, she didn’t complain. As time went on, she started complaining about the comfort and began waking up in the middle of the night. We knew it was time for a new mattress.
We know that having a comfortable mattress to keep my daughter sleeping throughout the night was important. This is when I decided to give Sweet Night mattresses a try. Here is what we have experienced so far with the Cool Gel Memory Foam Mattress from Sleep Night.
Mattress keeps you cool at night:
My daughter, like myself often wake up in the middle of the night sweating. Our body temperature rises while we are sleeping and prior to falling asleep we are always cold. Since sleeping on this mattress, she has stayed cool throughout the night because of the gel infused memory foam top. She says that this mattress is much cooler than her other mattress and really likes the fact it keeps her cool. For a year now, she has used a cooling pillow to help her with her night sweats.
Ventilated comfort foam:
Being able to sleep through the night is very important. Right now, we are reviewing this mattress during the Coivd-19 Quarantine time. What this means is that everyone in our house is spending a little bit more time in our beds. We don’t have to wake up 2 hours before school to get ready and travel. I am working from home and my daughters are doing virtual learning. Without having to travel to work and school, we now spend more time in our beds. This means that these extra 7-10 hours of sleep a week is being spent on our current mattress.
It is important that we are using the right comfort and alignment to keep us physically healthy as much as possible. Even without quarantine time, humans spend most of their life in their beds. Finding a comfortable and good quality mattress is important.
Two-Sided Mattress for Thickness:
The-Sided Mattress, “the Sunkiss”, has two different sides of firmness. If the mattress is too soft for you, you can just flip the mattress to the other side. Here is a feature that I didn’t know we needed in a mattress. It is like the automatic seat warmers one might get when purchasing a car- it is an awesome bonus feature.
It is great that you have it and you didn’t even know you needed it. One side includes the 3” Cool Gel-Infused Memory Foam Top and the other side has a 3” supportive high-density base. You can try both sides or even use the cool side in the summer and the firm side in the winter. The versatility in this mattress is great.
On the firmness scale one side is a 6 and the other side is a 7.5. If you are looking for a VERY firm mattress I would check out Sweet Night’s other mattresses.
Mattress Set Up Out of the Box
Taking the mattress out of the box, was just as easy as removing our Nectar Mattress from the box. It is what you would expect watching the mattress expand quickly. We followed the recommended 3 days of the mattress expanding prior to using it. The mattress had a bit of a smell at first and being sensitive to smells it soon went away after a few days. Our other foam mattresses we have purchased have all had these similar smells from the factory.
