An entire park that is themed out with Superheroes so it only makes sense you have a Summer of Heroes guide to follow and navigate through the park! This place has brand new themed out food for Guardians of the Galaxy, along with a recreated ride called Mission Breakout. This park has my name all over it! You and your kids can meet your favorite characters; train to be a superhero, and so much more! What is Summer of Heroes? With tons of Hero movies coming out Disneyland is dedicating a bunch of dates to this park for all of the Superhero love this nation has! This is happening the same time as the new Mission Breakout ride, which is a totally redone and revamped version of Tower of Terror.
I was invited to the park to experience the food, fun, and magic that Disney does so well! Last year I did a series on taking my preschooler to Disney, this is a totally amazing follow-up but this time we are talking about MARVEL. We are family that LOVES Disney and Marvel…so this has confirmed our 2017 family trip to Disneyland as a MUST-GO! So stay tuned as I help you with your travel plans.
First things first…let me share with all of you the AMAZING experience of Summer of Heroes!
Summer of Heroes has some amazing experiences for your entire family! They have super hero fun, which includes a GOTG Dance Off, Themed Food, character encounters with Spider-Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and more! You can also get some Avengers training while you are at Disneyland California Adventure!
Summer of Heroes Guide to the Park!
- Mission Breakout: My first tip is once the park opens you JUMP in the fast pass lane! It will be pretty long but it goes pretty fast and it is much shorter than having to wait the line to get on the ride!
This is by far the scariest ride I have ever been on in my entire life. I had to do it since I LOVE me some Star-Lord (after all I totally have a Lego Star Lord keychain I carry next to my Mickey key every day! Geeks will love this ride! It has 2,200 props including a statue of the collector with tons of his collection! Outside of Mission Breakout be sure to participate in a Dance-off! - Now since you have your fast pass to the most popular ride yet, my next tip is to get in line for your Groot Bread! They sold out while I was there and it is in high demand! This Groot shaped cheesy bread is adorable and it is next on my list when I am back in LA!
- Throughout the day, young guests will participate in this daring adventure on the Hollywood Backlot, to see if they have what it takes to become “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.”
Get this on your schedule because your little hero fans will love this!
- Go SHOPPING! The shops have been revamped and there is a ton of new merchandise!

If you are planning to take the kids to Disneyland remember there are TWO parks! You can easily spend a couple of days at each park! There is so much to do and so many rides! The one thing I love about Disneyland is that each park is just right across from each other! It is very easy to park hop!
**While you are in Disneyland California Adventure, be sure to check out Cars Land welcoming Cruz Ramirez! She is newest star from Cars 3 now playing in theaters!

A GOTG dance-off sounds like fun. I’ve always wanted to take my youngest to Disney Land, I know he’d love it there.
