Stay Active As a Mom – Brought to us by Depend Silhouette Active Fit Briefs
This conversation is brought to us by Depend Silhouette Active Fit Briefs. I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Depend. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Finding time and confidence to workout is tough after having kids! As a matter of fact, finding time for yourself is really hard especially when they are in the super clingy-never-let-go-and-going-to-sit-on-your-lap stage. Finding time to lose weight STINKS! I was told if I nursed I would lose a bunch of weight. Well I nursed, my appetite grew and the weight never left. Even when I cut my calories the weight still stayed on and I learned that I had to start introducing staying active in my diet. I thought of 100 reasons why I didn’t have time.
- Include your kids. They aren’t going away, right. You are blessed to have them in your life and some days you might feel like you are bit stuck with them. That is on those hard days of course. Well invest in a good jogging stroller…actually just use any stroller and get outside. Take the kids to a walking trail. Graduate yourself and them to bikes…just whatever you do get off the couch. J
- Do you workout in segments: 20 minutes before they wake up and 20 minutes before bed.
- Be confident, moms! Wear workout clothes you feel good wearing (sometimes go shopping for a few outfits to wear). Thanks to Depend we know that 1 out of every 3 women experience LBL! I am not just talking about the old folks either! So while picking out a good style, choose Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs have a lower rise for an underwear-like look, fit and feel available in black and beige colors. So look cute and don’t worry about that embarrassing bladder leakage as soon as you start running.

What I have found out is that they soft, comfortable, and us females know that it isn’t much different than our monthly go arounds. If you wear them under your workout clothes (even the yoga pants) you aren’t going to notice any discomfort. Find the right color and right size to feel confident! I think it is a great product (no matter what your age)!

It is important that we stay active and fit. Motherhood is a tough task and our kids need us to be there at all times. I do not have LBL, and I consider myself lucky, however, I know that there are women out there who suffer from it. Thanks to Depend, we can now be more confident and do what we want without fear of embarrassment from LBL.

i had experienced this after pregnancy. I wanted to get back in shape again by going to the gym but it was too difficult because of the condition.

I think the safest way to put it would be proper time management. If you have schedules within the day, you’re right, do the exercise in segments. Most people think it’s difficult until they finally try it.

I like your tip to work out 20 minutes before they wake up and for 20 minutes after they go to bed.

Yes it’s difficult to stay in shape after having kids. But it’s important to have alone time, and be healthy. Healthy momma is a happy momma!

a great post. I’ll have to point my mummy friends in this direction.

I try to involve my kids in my workouts so that I have no excuses to skip a day. I know so many women that wear a pad because of their little “secret”. Thanks to Depend, they don’t have to worry about their secret getting out.

My gram dealt with this, and my aunt does now too. It’s not laughing matter (literally) so it’s nice that there are products to help.

So funny, I woke up this morning saying to myself if only you could breakup a 30 minute workout into 10 minute segments, I could actually workout for 30 mins a day. Thank you for validating my thoughts 🙂
