I was provided a Star Wars Media copy to review!
If you’ve yet to see the newest chapter in Star Wars shame on you. Star Wars The Force Awakens revives the passion and love that the original trilogy captured and builds upon a wonderful base with great new characters. The visual and audio quality are ahead of their time just like their predecessors. Steve, my hubby, is a huge Star Wars fan and was like many a skeptic after the prequel failed to deliver like the original three. He was a huge fan of this movie, so much so he saw it three times in the theatre and has watched the Blu-Ray three times since we received it in the mail (less than 24 hours ago).
The Force Awakens follows two characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) as they attempt to return the adorable BB-8 to General Organa (Princess Leia) and The Resistance. Finn, a runaway stormtrooper, helps BB-8’s master Poe, a Resistance pilot, escape the First Order which was born out of The Empire. BB-8 has a map to the whereabouts of the last Jedi, Luke Skywalker. Rey and Finn find an ally in Han Solo and Chewbacca after unknowingly stealing the Millennium Falcon when escaping the First Order.
This is a wonderfully entertaining and fun movie that will make Star Wars junkies cheer. The Blu-Ray is loaded with extras. Not only do you get the movie on both Blu-Ray and standard DVD but also a digital version. There are so many extras it comes on it’s own Blu-Ray disc. Before the movie was marketed, before it started shooting an iconic image was released, it was the entire cast sitting in a circle at the table read. This picture is really brought to life in the story about the table read, seeing the new characters reactions to the original characters is really interesting. Then you start watching The Secrets Revealed and it’s absolutely incredible just how much goes into these movies.
No surprise however, my personal favorite extra is the making of BB-8. It is absolutely amazing just how much of BB-8 was real and not CGI. So much tech and creativity went into BB-8 and the amount of physical talent it took to make the star of The Force Awakens :).
Star Wars The Force Awakens is released on Blu-Ray, DVD and digital on Tuesday April 5th!

We saw this in the theater and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was much better story telling than the prequels, and had just the right amount of comic relief. I’m so jealous you got to pose for a picture with BB-8, he’s so cute! 😉

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal.
I must say you’ve done a excellent job with this. Also,
the blog loads very quick for me on Safari.
Outstanding Blog!
