Snatched
Review by Myla Tosatto
No one can Amy Schumer like Amy Schumer. Girl has no shame. I mean, none whatsoever. And that’s what makes her so terrific. Since I’m going down this route, the same idea can be applied to Goldie Hawn, nobody can out cute her. She is terminally cute. The most gross girl meets the most adorable senior citizen in Snatched, a seriously hilarious movie. Snatched is lewd and filthy and I mean that in that best possible way. It is about Emily (Amy Schumer) and her mother Linda (Goldie Hawn) who decide to take a vacation in a tropical paradise. That paradise turns ugly as the two women are kidnapped by Morgado (Oscar Jaenada) and his crew of baddies. The only chance of their survival is with the help of their friends and family, Ruth (Wanda Sykes), Barb (Joan Cusack), Jeffrey (Ike Barinholtz) and Morgan (Bashir Salahuddin). By the way, Ruth and Barb are the couple that I didn’t know I needed in my life and now will need them there always. Someone give these two a movie, please.
Who should you see this movie with? Well, since it’s being marketed as a Mother’s Day movie, I would start there. So bring your mother or mother figure. Mind you, these ladies should not be prudish in any way. I took my 80-year-old mother who loved it. But she’s a bit of a dirty bird, so. . . The dirty bird doesn’t fall far from the tree, apparently. It would also be great on a date night or a ladies night. It’s fun. You’ll laugh. Should kids see it? Absolutely not. Are you crazy? Get a babysitter and have a boisterous night at the cinema.
P.S. There is a truly disgusting scene where Emily contracts a virus. Cover your eyes. You’ll thank me.
**RATING: R for crude sexual content, brief nudity, and language throughout.

What a great review! I saw this movie with one of my girlfriends- no way could my mom handle something rated R. 😉 We loved it and laughed so much!
