If you are thinking about taking your family to see the new dog movie, Show Dogs, I decided that it deserves two thumbs up. If we wanted to get technical my two daughters also give them two thumbs up…so far our family gives the movie a total of 6 thumbs up. As one pigeon said in the film, “Yes, it’s how many fingers I have.”
Max, a Rottweiler, had to learn to not judge others when he had to go undercover to solve a crime at a Dog Show in Las Vegas. He has to learn to stop judging show dogs when he had to learn to become one. His adventure to solve the crime and get help from other animals will have your entire family laughing. There is some slapstick jokes and the kids and adults wills stay engaged the entire time. The talent is amazing and there are some references that only the grownups will understand and not the kids. I was really impressed by the CGI. Unless the studio actually taught the dogs to speak, I thought they did an amazing job at making believe these animals were really talking. The action scenes were also quite impressive!
Overall, we thought that movie was great for the entire family especially for the dog lovers.
