BLUE LIGHT?!?! Have you ever heard of this? Well if you’re reading this you’re likely reading it as your eyes strain past a dose of blue light. I’d never even heard of this before, Ultra Violet light sure, black light, florescent light, soft light I’ve heard it all or so I thought. So as a computer teacher and a blogger how was I so naïve to blue light? Obviously this was just something that companies are coming up with to sell more expensive glasses, right? Turns out WRONG! Phonetic Blue Light reducing glasses were sent to me to try out and here is what I learned and experienced!
A study by Harvard Health shows all the risks of blue light. They found blue light can suppress the secretion of melatonin. This can lead to a tremendous amount of health issues including insomnia and depression! HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS!
I learned all this thanks to my friends at Phonetic Eyewear. Makers of wonderfully affordable and stylish glasses that include a proprietary lens coating that absorbs and deflects a portion of the potentially harmful blue light emitted from computers and other backlit devices (like your phone)!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t skeptical, but I’ve been stunned. Not only are my eyes less tired at the end of the day I’m actually able to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep. Now I can’t say that those two things are directly related but I can tell you that hasn’t always been the case for me. Not only do they seem to be working in blocking the blue light, I love the look of these glasses. They’re stylish, even the hubby said “You finally found a pair that fits your face right.” As far as compliments go, that’s darn good from him! Even at work, another co-worker randomly complimented that “I look good in glasses”! I will take it!
I think you’ll love the Phonetic Eyewear and their awesome selection! Let me know what style you choose and what you think when you receive them!
Be sure to check out Phonetic Eyewear and follow them Facebook and Twitter!
These glasses are only $50-$60 (and SO worth the price)! The prescription ones which are what I am wearing range from about $90-$100! So go and check them out!
