There was a BIG announcement today from our friends at Disney! I loved Olaf’s Frozen Adventure that premiered in front of the movie COCO! The show was adorable and definitely helped get our family in the Christmas spirit!
So what is the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! If you haven’t assumed already the 21 minute short is the perfect timing for a TV special Christmas TV show! This Featurette, “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure”, will make its broadcast television debut as part of Disney|ABC Television’s “25 Days of Christmas” celebration on THURSDAY, DEC. 14 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EST), on The ABC! If you haven’t seen it yet the show is awesome! It has 4 new magical Christmas songs. Since taking my family to see, COCO, we run around the house hiding screaming “SURPRISE” and repeating “Not yet, Olaf” to each other.
While we were in LA we not only got to interview the filmmakers of the short, but we also got to do an Olaf drawing session! Check out my Olaf!
I had a couple of great teachers! While I was in LA, we had a drawing demo with Animator Michael Franceschi and Animation Supervisor Chad Sellers! They were the animators who worked on, “Olaf’s Frozen Adventures” and taught us how to draw. 🙂
Both of the gentlemen went through the timeline of creating their drawings and what they worked on from the sketch all the way to the final production. This 20 minute film took over a year to make even if they already had the main characters created from Frozen.
There were some funny parts in this interview. We loved listening to them both acting out scenes and voices and what helped them create the expressions and emotions of each character throughout the show!
Don’t forget to tune in THURSDAY, DEC. 14 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EST), on The ABC!
