It is National Sausage Month! Did you know October was dedicated to Sausage? I didn’t either. Being Italian, I grew up on a brand of sausage from a local Italian deli that doesn’t exist anymore. I also had my dad make his own sausage. For those who don’t know my parents are from Italy and before I was born, my family owned a restaurant here in the states. This post is sponsored by Maestro Sausage in LA and I was sent product for my honest review.
National Sausage Month
Easy Sausage Bowl
With it being National Sausage Month I wanted to share a super easy and yummy meal with lots of protein that your family will love! I had my hubby help me with this recipe this month since he is the “maestro” behind the grill! For this recipe we used the Three Pepper Sausage from Maestro Sausage. For this recipe, he helped make an easy and spicy sausage bowl with eggs, potatoes, and of course sausage! We like our food to be spicy and hot!
Need:
Three Pepper Sausage
Potoates
Crushed Red Pepper & Salt
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Eggs
Steps:
Clean, Peel, and Dice Russet Potatoes in about ⅓ inch squares. Using a little bit of Olive Oil, salt, and Crushed red pepper fry them above medium heat. To make potatoes crispier let them brown really well on one side before turning. Continue to turn them until they are fully cooked, but go ahead and start on the sausage!
Sausage: Boil the Three Pepper Sausage and then grill them over medium heat continuing to turn them until fully cooked. Remove the sausage from the casing and chop it up!
Once the potatoes are cooked scramble some eggs and in skillet on LOW eat cook them. Prior to them being totally cooked add the warm potatoes and the sausage to the bowl to finish your Easy Sausage Bowl!
Maestro Sausage Company
Maestro Sausage Company is an LA based and family owned and operated business that has been around for generations and over 90 years! Even Frank Sinatra was known to like their sausage!
There are tons of different types of sausage that is sold by Maestro Sausage Company! You have probably had their sausage if you ever attended an LA Chargers game! The different types of sausage include chorizo (great for mexican dishes like our Mexican Cheese Soup we shared), Hot Italian Sausage (great with Pasta) Three Pepper Sausage (great in a bowl like we shared, and also if you are making a dip for your sport’s parties), Jalapeno Bacon Cheddar (great in a sandwich and served at the Chargers games now)! As a Chiefs fan who has visited San Diego to watch her team play, there is a good chance that I will be looking for their sausage during my next Chiefs away game in LA!

Wow… I didn’t know there was something called a sausage month either. There seems to be a day or a month for almost everything.
