Are you looking for ways to celebrate National Bratwurst Day?! This year for National Bratwurst Day I celebrated with Johnsonville in Kansas City at our Linwood YMCA!
Johnsonville is getting families together to tell the story of Carl the Great Bratsgiver and leaves behind delicious brats! Here is how I celebrated in Kansas City:
National Bratsgiving Day
Our Kansas City community gathered together and there is nothing we rather gather around than some good grilled food! Johnsonville not only gathered and provided food and entertainment to our local YMCA and community, but they also helped donate to the rebuilding of the new YMCA location!
The kids had so much fun. They played and ran around the bouncy course!
We enjoyed story time, local organizations, a bouncy house, and of course food! Kids and families were having fun in front of “the Y”!
Different vendors and Kansas City supporters set up tables for the event.
The food was delicious and this might have to be my new favorite Holiday! All food and little stress!
Tips on How to Celebrate National Bratwurst Day
Next year, I can’t wait to celebrate with my family! I am hoping to start some of our own traditions!
Family Time: Sharing the story of Carl the Great Bratsgiver to my kids!
Fun: Inviting my family over for Brats and yummy sides! Playing outdoor games and keeping cool with some chilled drinks!
Pot Luck: Since, the celebration is midweek we want some easy sides for a midweek dinner!

Well that looks fun. I bet it was a hot day there!!! I’ll have to try that brand if I can find it here in north Texas as we sometimes like to eat Brats.
