I was invited to travel to attend the Red Carpet Premiere of Lionsgate’s Mockingjay Part 2. All expenses were paid.
Mockingjay Part 2 Red Carpet – I am ATTENDING 11/16/15
FINALLY I can make the big announcement that a few of you heard me screaming about on social media! I was invited to attend the Mockingjay Red Carpet in LA! When I received the e-mail inviting a friend and I to travel to LA, walk the Red Carpet with all of the movie stars, and screen the movie I was ecstatic! I later than found out that I will also be attending the after party! With less than a week away I had to prepare last minute (today) to get ready for this event! I figured packing would be easy: all I needed was a dress, shoes, makeup, hot rollers, and some PJ’s!
It was just reported that the Mockingjay Red Carpet Premiere cancels interviews because of the Paris attacks. I pray that everyone remains safe. I believe that all that this does to our trip is makes our Red Carpet walk a lot faster with more possibilities to walk past celebrities in the theater.
The DRESS: You will have to wait and see. I found one in my closet that I have never worn to a Red Carpet.
The SHOES: I am putting on about a 4-inch heel and hoping I don’t fall on the carpet. If I do fall, oh well, I wouldn’t be the first one to fall on the Red Carpet. The Mockingjay fans will totally understand! #ILoveJenniferLawrence
The FRIEND: I am taking one of my best friends with me, Keri. Some of you have read some of Keri’s stuff on my site. In the past when I was traveling she has even taken over a bit to help me out. She was my sorority sister and roommate in college. I was her Maid of Honor in her wedding and she was my first Bridesmaid! Since kids, we barely get to spend time together. This 24-hour trip is going to definitely make up for the months of times we don’t get to see each other. She will also be tweeting and posting live with me from the Red Carpet. The ITINERARY:
Travel Business Class to LA (first time not flying coach and I travel all the time).
We are staying and a super nice hotel downtown.
Meet and shuttle over to the Red Carpet.
The Red Carpet will be at the Microsoft Theater in LA.
Attend the post party at an undisclosed location.

Mockingjay Part 2
We are both HUGE fans of the books and the movies! So far this is my favorite series that I have read. I don’t read tons and I was able to wipeout this series very quickly. I have waited a LONG time to be able to finish off the entire series! So being able to see this movie AT the RED CARPET is so extremely special.
If you have teens be sure to take your family to see this movie. It is definitely a good one to encourage them to read. The books are slightly different and yet so entertaining. Reading is great for young ones to help and encourage literacy!
