I am so excited to share this Meat and Potatoes Foil Pack Recipe with you and I finally measured out my ingredients so I can share. I usually pinch a bunch of seasonings together and it always tastes delicious! This post contains affiliate links at no cost to you.
It was always hard for me to find a recipe so I had to make my own! I wanted to use my oven and not the grill and not the air fryer.
This recipe is a fail-proof recipe because I don’t cook much and this is so easy to do if you are craving steak and potatoes! I have actually made it twice this week! I have tried it with different meat including Stew Beef and Angus Beef this week.
Meat and Potatoes Foil Pack Recipe
Give it a different flavor by swapping out the beef with anyone you want and you can also add some Garlic if you would like!
You are going to want a Baking Sheet that has all 4 edges raised. You want this because you want to make sure the juice from the foil packs doesn’t leak into your oven.
Ingredients:
1-1 ½ Angus Beef cut into 1 to 1 ½ inch squares
3 Russett Potatoes cut into small ½ to 1-inch squares
2 TBS melted Ghee
3 TBS olive oil
TBS of Rosemary Garlic Rub
⅔ tsp of parsley
Crushed red pepper, a generous amount of salt, pepper
Directions:
- First, Preheat your oven to 425 degrees
- Mix seasonings, oil, and ghee all together.
- Put potatoes and meat in a large mixing bowl and coat the meat and potatoes.
- Make 4-5 sheets of heavy duty foil that are about 12 inches by 12 inches big. Divide the potatoes and meat into the middle of it.
- Fold it in the middle horizontally.
Then fold the corners into the middle. - Place the foil packs on a baking sheet and bake them for 27 minutes at 425 degrees.
Cooking Tips
When cooking these I like to use Heavy Duty Reynolds Aluminum Foil. I found it is thicker than the off-branded foil.
You want to make sure that when you open the packets you are very careful to keep the juice in the packets.
You can serve these in the foil, on a plate, or even in a bowl if your family wants it to be closer to a stew juice.
I like eating it on a deep plate but I like the juice on the potatoes because it gives them even more flavor.
Before serving I like to have Cayenne Red Pepper and Salt for taste. The food should taste very tender and delicious! If you rearrange the rub seasoning with straight seasonings this recipe should be Whole 30 Compliant too!
This is served great with some Homemade Italian Bread, and Ammoglio Dipping Sauce, and you can be a little extra by making Foil Pack dessert for after dinner!
We love this S’mores Foil Pack and you can place it right in your oven after dinner is cooked!
