Lego Batman Movie Review
Everything is Awesome. Again.

Are you looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day movie? Well, you are in luck because The LEGO Batman Movie is out just in time for February 14th! Sure, this isn’t your traditional rom-com. In fact, it’s not a rom-com at all. But it IS a relationship movie. Batman has a LOT of relationships (Batman & Alfred, Batman & the Joker, Batman & Barbara Gordon, Batman & Dick Grayson, Batman & Superman, Batman & The Justice League, Batman & Bruce Wayne, Batman & his parents…) and none of them is great. But he does try to improve them. So what would be better than spending a holiday that celebrates relationships with Batman (Will Arnett)?
The laughs fly fast and furious, so keep up. Doesn’t matter if you are 5 or 95, you will find something to laugh at. I missed so much that I am planning on seeing it again! It is that funny! Without giving the plot away, I will just say that the inner geek in you will be rewarded. You sign up for Batman, but you get many more treasures from the Warner Brothers vault! Personally, I was rewarded by jokes made about my favorite part of Legos, the tops of bald heads (Lego heads just crack me up for some reason) and for being a Whovian.
Cupid wants you to have fun on Valentine’s Day. He wants you to go see what I wager will be the funniest cartoon of 2017. You should never argue with someone wearing diapers and brandishing a bow and arrow (or a happy-go-lucky Robin sporting green Speedos).
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
