A board game cafe is a place where you can enjoy playing a wide variety of board games while also having access to food and beverages. They offer a library of board games for patrons to choose from, ranging from classic games like Monopoly and Scrabble to more modern strategy games and party games!
Places to Play Board Games:
Reroll Tavern is a cute little Board Game Cafe and every day they have a different theme. Being able to go and hang out is fun. Check out their calendar of events.
Pawn and Pint is a place known for their beers, boards, and bites. You can play board games there every night but they also have themed evenings. On Wednesdays, they have Intelligence Check Trivia Night from 7-9 pm. Thursday’s are reverse Happy Hour- 9 pm to Close with 30% off Drafts and Cocktails. Then on Sunday, they have Service Industry Night- Free Entry with Employee Liquor Permit.
Cardboard Corner Cafe is located in Metcalf and Lenexa. They have a HUGE library of board games and you will want to check them out. It is a fun place to meet up with friends and enjoy some quality time without feeling like you are being rushed out for them to fill another table.
Game Cafe is another great location to play games in Independence, Missouri. While you are in Independence you can make a trip to the Truman Library. They have lots of games and quite a bit of table space to play if you have a bigger group.
Afterword Tavern & Shelves has the cutest atmosphere. They are located on Grand and they also have a lot of books. We love Kansas City Bookstore Cafes too! They are a fun place to go for a quiet and more relaxing atmosphere. https://www.afterwordkc.com/
Mission Board Games also has two locations including the Northland near Zona Rosa and Mission, Kansas. They have several games to pick from and they have a great family environment. You can go and learn to play new board games.
Johnies Jazz Bary and Grill at B&B Theaters is Liberty has a handful of games and my family and I have sat and played after viewing movies with friends to continue and extend our time to hangout. They also have a restaurant at their location and sometimes do trivial nights and games!
They gave free Game Nights every Tuesday starting at 7:30 pm! Game Nights alternate between Trivia and Bingo each week! It is free to play, no reservation or ticket is required. Don’t forget to check out our ways to Save Money at the Theater!
