Camp Hideout is another friendly and wholesome family film with several big stars! Our family had the opportunity to preview the film and share our review with you! “Is Camp Hideout Family Appropriate?” is the question we seek to answer along with sharing our movie review!
This movie has a fun nostalgia for summer camp and has a great message. This year I sent my daughter to a conference called Steubenville, and I called it Church Camp all summer. Of course, the movie was nothing like her conference but totally fun to watch.
There are even some big names in the film! You will find Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) as the camp owner, Falco and Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) as the camp counselor, Jake.

Is Camp Hidout Movie Appropriate for Families?
The music is absolutely amazing. I am going to reach out and try to get the soundtrack. I have been on a hunt but Jason Brandt did amazing! If you love movies with a great Christian message, be sure to also check out The Hill Review!
The movie is by Called Higher Studios and is all about spreading a positive Christian message. They found that so many movies with Christian messages aren’t pushed out, that they want to keep creating content for all audiences but with a Christian message.
This movie is about love, forgiveness, and friendship!
What is the movie rated?
This movie is rated PG. There weren’t any bad words. The trouble the kids get into is very “home alone-ish”.
What are the main themes of the movie?
It is a family-friendly film with a message that helps kids learn what it truly means to forgive and the power of faith. These Christian movies aren’t pushed out in Hollywood and aren’t highly advertised. If you would like to see more movies out in theaters with these positive messages, click the link at the bottom of the post to create a good movie family night!
Is it too long for young kids?
The movie is one hour and forty minutes from the opening credits to the ending credits.
Does the movie have any controversial or sensitive themes?
This is a great and sweet movie. I really enjoyed it and I think families will too. As a teacher, I have met many kids similar to Noah and Trey (teens who are dealing with trauma) and many times they need people whom they can trust and who care about them.

About the movie:
Mischievous foster teen Noah (Ethan Drew) finds himself in trouble again. After one such petty crime and crossing paths with two foes, he chooses summer camp over juvenile hall. Upon arrival, Noah quickly comes to realize the camp’s notorious owner, Falco (Christopher Lloyd) and his dog Lazaraus ironically loathe children. The double whammy takes a turn as Jake (Corbin Bleu), an optimistic camp leader, lifts Noah’s pessimistic attitude. The friendship snowballs for the good as Noah opens up to fellow campers and together they bond in all the fun and memorable ways camp offers. When all seems well, the “bad guys” show up at camp in search of Noah to take back what he stole. Together, Noah and his fellow campers band together to construct a funhouse hideout in the woods, packed with booby traps, zip lines, and bees. In a “change of heart,” cold-hearted Falco warms to the campers, and steps in to help; and together they all learn a valuable lesson of sticking together.
Why Camp Hideout?
When I founded Called Higher Studios, my mission was to build a production company that would get back to basics…good old-fashioned storytelling. Movies that put a smile on your face, a lump in your throat, or a tug at your heart. Something that seems to be missing in what most of Hollywood is making today.
Camp Hideout fits that mission.
The heart and soul of the film is about family; however you define it. In the case of our main hero, Noah, a kid who feels lost in the foster care system, he discovers his campmates are there to support him when he needs it most.
I hope you will enjoy watching Camp Hideout as much as we enjoyed making it.
