My heart lately has had foster kids in my thoughts. I think about how many kids are needing a real and permanent family. As a teacher I see so many good and even troubled teens who have to be a part of the foster system. They never have any stability in their life and their trust for adults is minimal. They are having to be adults when they are still kids.
Instant Family Viewing Party
Watch a movie!
I didn’t get a chance to screen Instant Family when it was playing in theaters, so when I was asked to review the DVD, I was really excited. They sent some fun family activities for us to do besides just watch the movie.
Instant Family is a heartfelt family movie that your entire family will enjoy. I thought the movie was touching and did something that I love when movies do. It had me talking to my family about the possibility of every fostering and adopting. I don’t know what the future will hold, but this is something that is close to my heart as a teacher.
I have known so many foster kids and they need love and they need support. Please take an evening to watch this movie with your family.
Do a family craft!
My girls had a blast making me a sleep shirt! I think I am going to grab my Cricut to make them some “coloring shirts” of their favorite animals and characters to color in their own shirts!
As any paranoid mommy would do, I am going to need to watch it first before I let my kids see it. I did want to share the trailer with all of you and let you know that it is now available on DVD!
