I am starting my 14th year as a high school teacher, but this year is completely different. I am at a new school so I am having to gather the classroom essentials that I need to be prepared for the school year from ground zero. What are the important classroom essentials that I need to have? I decided I would share with all of you what my important essentials are to feel ready for the first day of school. This is a sponsored post by Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue; all opinions and enthusiasm for the product is all me!
It is important that I have what students need. I want them to know that I am here to help them. Some of the ways I do that, is by making sure that I have the important classroom essentials for them when they ask.
Important Classroom Essentials
Personal Kit: I always keep some extra pads, tampons, cheap toothbrushes, toothpaste, safety pins, rubber bands, and spray deodorant behind my desk. I consider this my own “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” for them to feel safe and cared for.
Classroom Environment: It is important to me that my classroom is welcoming. Since I am starting over from scratch, I don’t have everything I want yet (still needing comfy chairs, a student station, organizers, and rugs), but I have made bright decorations, a color theme, big flowers, and positive signs to put around my classroom. I am hoping I don’t have my students staring around the room a lot, but when they do, I hope their eyes land on something positive. I also try to appeal to them with soft music, aromatherapy, and lighting! For years, almost every day someone would tell me how good my classroom smells.
Classroom Supplies: Having a classroom set of markers, crayons, pencils, scissors, and glue sticks is important because it makes my lesson plans, graphic organizers, and note-taking a lot more fun for even high schoolers! There is something about allowing their creativity to flow, even in a computer lab that helps keep them remembering the content that they have learned.
Healthy Classroom: I love to stock up on the things that will help my kids feel better when they need it! Sam’s Club has all of the great supplies in their own brand that also helps me save money by stocking up! They have everything from disinfectant wipes, paper towels, and their Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue! All three of these things are really important to have in my classroom.
Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue:
You can find Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue exclusively at Sam’s Club and SamsClub.com. The 2-ply softness and quality is great for everyday purposes. It is strong enough to hold up and I even use it for multi-purposes when I need to wipe something up in my room. You can not only stock up for your classroom or my kid’s back to school night, but we also keep a box in our car! The Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue is also hypoallergenic and free from ink, perfume, and lotion! Also it comes with Club Member satisfaction!
Sam’s Club Pickup:
I love using Club Pickup once the school year has started because our time is so limited with work, school, homework, and then dance! So being able to drive up and have a Sam’s Club associate carry the items to my car is super convenient and time saving! As a member you can choose any open time slots that are available to have orders placed for pickup, and Sam’s Club will have your cart ready and loaded for you! Our Sam’s Club has a drive thru and all you have to do is check in on your app and they will bring your stuff to your car! My app even tells me when I am almost to the store!

Loving all of the “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs”, that is a great idea. Those tissue box are great too, liking the design helping them to blend in as decor.
