My husband and I read to my daughter EVERY night! We have done this for a really long time. I have read to her before she even knew what a book was! Energizer Headlights have brought an entire new FUN way to read before bed! When we finish our bedtime story, prayers, kisses, and then sleep, the lights are already turned off! I purchased our Energizer Headlight and our Energizer batteries from Walmart to use as a night headlight.
My daughter is not a stranger when it comes to using Energizer flashlights at night. She sleeps with one or two at night. Surprisingly, she will stay up and look at her book for a little while and then shut it off before dozing off.
Last night, we went shopping at Walmart for a couple of new books, an Energizer Headlamp, some Energizer Batteries, and tons of Birthday items to prepare for her My Little Pony/Cowgirl Birthday Party this week.
At Walmart, we headed to the back of the store near the Sports and Leisure sign and found an entire section with flashlights where we found our night headlight we were going to use. I looked through the different ones and they ranged any where from about $8 to $30. I liked the two that were $12.88 and $14.88. I picked the orange and gray one instead of the camouflage print.
Besides buying an Energizer Headlamp, we also needed some batteries. I found Energizer batteries on little end cap displays throughout the store. They also had a huge battery station right by checkout in a middle aisle display. After doing some more shopping we headed home. Read more about my shopping trip by visiting my Google + Story.
I knew that the headlamp would be a hit, but I didn’t realize HOW MUCH fun my daughter would have with it! She wanted to read the book “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” that we had purchased. As I started to read, she got really excited and told me that SHE wanted to wear the headlamp herself. She wanted to sleep with the headlamp, but I had to veto that idea and told her it was our special “reading light”.

My daughter loves reading with hers!

Yep – the Energizer Headlights definitely make reading time more fun! My 1st grader is having a “read-a-thon” tomorrow and he’s bringing his headlight instead of his flashlight. Makes sense because it’s better to have two hands to hold the book!

This is such a great idea! My arms already get tired just holding the book, let alone a flashlight! This will work great! Thanks for the idea!

Looks like a fun time, wish I had them when my kids were little!

I love how easy it is for you to use to read to your daughter! My girls love wearing theirs to read.
