Ginger Baked Pears
Instead of serving fruit out of a can at your next meal, grab a few pears and try this easy recipe. I love how they can be served right away or refrigerated after baking and served cold!
Ingredients:
4 pears (I chose Bosc)
1 tablespoon of sugar
½ teaspoon of ginger
2 teaspoons of honey
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Remove the stems of the pears. Next, peel the pear pears and cut them down the center into halves.
Use a melon baller or small spoon and carve out the middle of the pears.
Next, place the pear halves flat side up in a 8”x8” baking dish and sprinkle with sugar. Toss the pears or use your hands to ensure that they have all been coated with the sugar.
Sprinkle the ginger evenly inside of each pear. Then, drizzle the honey inside of each pear as well.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Slice the pears before serving and drizzle with any juices left in the baking dish. If you prefer to serve them cold, leave them whole before transferring to a dish with a lid.
Makes 8 servings.
