I was just in LA to promote the new Ghostbusters movie! I screened it, interviewed the cast and then went on a tour with Ivan Reitman on the Sony lot! We went into “Ghost Corps” on the Sony lot! Like always I was blessed to be chosen as one of the few media guests to learn and share about the movie!
Ghostbusters 2016 – Ivan Reitman
So the new Ghostbusters movie has lots of cameos and is just a NEW MOVIE. They didn’t try to copy any of the old films! When we toured the lot we totally felt the vibe of the new movie! The building looked like a firehouse that was complete with a fire pole! I may or may not have posed with it!
So walking into Ghost Corps and meeting the very talented Ivan Reitman was so amazing!
We first entered the lots. We were given special badges from security and we were escorted on the lot by a Sony Rep before meeting Ivan!
In front of Ghost Corps on the lot there was one of the Ghostbuster vehicles!
As we entered Ghost Corps there were TONS of fun memorabilia, toys, movie posters from all of Ivan’s movies, a ghost bell that a fan created, and MORE!
Ivan Reitman met us at Ghost Corps. You will know Ivan because he produced the first two Ghostbusters movies! Here is what we learned with meeting with him:
The movie remains to be a family film. Since the Ghostbusters were containing ghosts people still enjoy taking their family to see the movie!
Ivan let us know that because of the loss of Harold Ramis, he couldn’t continue without him. He told us, “I decided I would not direct it.”
We visited the office and the conference room! There were tons of memorabilia and of course the new line of toys to be on the lookout for!
After our tour we went on an amazing trip around the Sony lot, on different sets, and learned about the history and even sang a note in the Barbara Streisand theater! Be sure to visit my site soon as I cover another story here on the blog JUST on the tour itself!
