Elf on the Shelf Family Dollar Ideas
Set Alarms or Reminders: Use your smartphone or another electronic device to set daily alarms or reminders. Set them for a time when you know you’ll have a moment to move the elf without distractions.
You can even ask Alexa to remind you each day to take your “vitamin” and know what that reminder actually means!
Establish a routine for moving the elf. Choose times such as after the kids go to bed or before they wake up, to move the elf. Consistency will help you remember.
Share the responsibility of moving the elf, or remind each other to ensure it doesn’t get forgotten.
If you ever forget to move the elf, have a backup plan in mind. You could come up with a creative explanation for why the elf stayed in the same spot or make a joke about the elf taking a day off.
