With Easter right around the corner it is best that I follow my own Easter Basket Ideas and stay within my budget! Easter to me means a lot more than spending tons of money on gifts but more of the reason for the Holiday. Creating a basket for your kids makes the day a little more special and meaningful as you teach them about Easter and family tradition. Be sure to read some of these tips before getting started!
Easter Basket Ideas
I do like to treat my little girls with baskets and I came up with these following tips!
- Buy a basket that is the right size for what you plan to put in it. Buying one that is too big makes your basket look empty, buying one that is too small looks crazy.
- Reuse baskets that you already have. If your kids believe in an actual Easter bunny ask them to leave their empty baskets out in case the bunny stops by!
- Buy candies you can afford! Peeps® are super affordable, they are traditional, and they come with TONS of new flavors! Check out all of the Peeps® I filled our basket up with! My daughters are going to be thrilled to be able to share all of those goodies with each other! Plus there is enough for the entire family!
Be sure to visit your local store for these yummy treats to fill up your Easter Basket and collect all the Exclusive Peeps®!
Only at Walmart: You can score the all white “Mystery Flavored Chicks and Bunnies”. These new Peeps® might be savory, tangy or salty! You keep you tastebuds guessing for sure! This is also a fun treat to teach your kid about different flavors and taste buds!

We always reuse baskets – figured it saves waste from year to year. I cannot wait to get those Mystery Peeps for my son – he’ll love them 🙂

One of the things I do is use something I am giving them as the basket, like a sand pail or dump truck.

These are such great ideas! Our kids have had the same Easter basket since they were born and we always put Peeps inside!
