Summer is probably my favorite season. There are so many great things about summer. The warm evenings, baseball games, and hanging by the pool. What’s not to love? But I will say that there is one thing about summer that I always dread: the bugs. June bugs, mosquitos, and so much more. They seem to be everywhere and sometimes it can be hard to even enjoy being outside because of them. It’s something that I’ve had to deal with every summer until now. So you may be wondering how this contraption works. Dynatrap utilizes UV light by using the warmth and glow to lure in mosquitos and other similar insects. It also attracts mosquitos by releasing CO2 which is irresistible to them. Then finally, once they are attracted Dynatrap’s strong yet silent fan vacuums the insects into a retaining cage. Dynatrap prides itself on three main features of their product: it’s safe, silent, and simple. To learn more about their products, visit the Dynatrap website.

We started off our summer with 3 friendly flies in our house. We plugged in our Dynatrap and it was great to catch several of them and get them stuck on the sticky pad. The light isn’t noticeable, even my husband asked what that new light was. It also has plugins and USB’s on the side so you don’t have to worry about losing an outlet for your light. I am also hoping to get one in our garage so that any of the pests that fly in can get caught at night.
So how does the Dynatrap Insect Light work?: “Dynatrap utilizes UV light by using the warmth and glow to lure in mosquitos and other similar insects. It also attracts mosquitos by releasing CO2 which is irresistible to them. Then finally, once they are attracted Dynatrap’s strong yet silent fan vacuums the insects into a retaining cage.” While the indoor flylight uses
AtraktaGloTM Technology to produce a warm UV light at a specifically targeted wavelength, which is irresistibly attractive to insects. The non-toxic StickyTechTM Glue Card then traps the bugs and conceals them behind a sleek, decorative aluminum panel.”

I have a neighbor who has a patio which seems to attract all sorts of flying insects–this would be perfect for her! As for me–if a fly somehow gets in–my cat goes into overdrive–no one but her is allowed to be in my apartment! I will definitely tell my neighbor about this product.
