This is brought to you by DisneyKids! All memories and experiences are mine.
There are lots of milestones a mother hangs onto that are very meaningful when watching their kids grow up! Your child’s first word, first steps, their first tooth, and more! I am so grateful that my list of memories have been our Disney’s most magical moments that we have shared as a family in Walt Disney World! We have been to Disney several times and being able to cherish these memories and have them be a part off our Disney Vacation is priceless and magical!
First Haircut
Both of my daughters got their first haircut in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom’s Harmon Barber Shop! During our last trip our Chloe Ann got her haircut for the first time! She was so excited to get pigtails and pixie dust like her big sister! What made her first haircut even more special is that both girls got their first haircut by the same exact cast member.
Meeting Mickey
The first time meeting Mickey! We didn’t know what to expect with both girls! My oldest absolutely loved each character and went up to each one to “tickle” them! The youngest was so excited but wouldn’t go up to Mickey without mommy or daddy holding her! She would run about a foot away, run back to us, and point for us to take her to see all of the characters! No matter what these memories we created will be in our hearts forever!
It isn’t just meeting Mickey for the first time, it was also seeing my kids warm up to the characters. I will forever have the image in my head when my preschooler finally ran to Daisy (without needing me to hold her) to play Ring Around the Rosie with her! When my girls ran to her you can hear the crowd saying, “ahhhhh”, even having people turn heads!
Our memory of meeting Anna and Elsa was amazing too! Chloe tried to play Hide-N-Go-Seek and then they played around for a bit before takin pictures! They truly take the time to let you meet the characters and not just snap a picture.
The Resort
Being able to experience the resort are always amazing memories! Whether we are dreaming about the Sugar Cookies from the concierge chef from the Contemporary or dying to go to the Finding Nemo pool! There were times that my girls wanted to go back to the room. They wanted to play around with all the cool stuff at the resort. Whether it was the pool, the arcade, the art work, and more! There are activities like fishing, pool parties, Disney Junior dance parties, art lessons, character lessons, movie nights, and MORE!
Seeing the Castle
This memory is just as much for myself as it is for my kids. I remember seeing the castle for the first time and the second and the third….and literally losing my breath for a split second. It is surreal to stand on Main Street, USA and have the most beautiful, magical, and iconic view! My kids will always have that view in their memory of the castle and I am so grateful to have been able to create that memory with them! To my husband, he takes great joy in the first time I ever saw Cinderella’s castle!
The Other Parks
The magic doesn’t just stop at Magic Kingdom. When you are touring the wonderful and amazing Disney property you are going to find the magic at every park. The other parks have all the characters in themes, amazing shows, and some of the most fun rides! Our kids love the Disney Junior theme items at Hollywood Studios, the Lion Guard and animal exploration at Animal Kingdom, and all the princesses and rides at Epcot!
Our Disney Junior breakfast at Hollywood and Vine was yummy and entertaining!
My girls loved dancing in the streets at Animal Kingdom!
Whether your family is planning on going to Disney for the first time or the 10th time, you are going to create memories to last a lifetime! I hope you enjoyed reading about our memories! This was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime!

Disney is one of those institutions that seems to connect with every kid on every continent on every level. I’ve been in love with them since I was a kid.

You can tell by the huge smiles on the kids’ faces that they are having a blast! No one appreciates Disney as much as a kid!
