I was thrilled to be invited to go to the Brave Movie Screening here in Kansas City so that I can provide an honest Brave Movie Review! I was super excited because it was my daughter’s FIRST movie! She was able to sit through the entire thing and she just turned 3! I was a little nervous to take her since I hadn’t seen it before. She did GREAT! We did cover her eyes on just a few parts but overall she enjoyed it!!! She really enjoyed the Scottish dancers prior to the movie who danced for all of us!!!
I thought the movie was GREAT! I loved the fact that there is a Disney Princess with a modern approach for independence! When comparing her to all my other favorite Disney princesses she is the most realistic one in learning and showing others!!! My initial thought was, “Finally a realistic princess little girls can live up to!” I think tweens are also going to LOVE it!! The animation is amazing and I loved watching it in 3D. It had it’s funny parts and tons of very touching moments!
The movie is about a girl who wants to determine her own destiny and go against tradition! When it was time for the men to fight for her hand in marriage she finds a loop hole to determine her own fate. She then learns that she has to “brave” and find her own fate by looking for change and mending her family bond that was torn by pride.
TIP: When you go to see this movie on June 22nd make sure you stay until after the credits!

Looks like a cute movie

Whatever happened to just enjoying a show for what it is? Your daughter is 3…not 10. Stop trying to control and just enjoy life for what it is.

I have not yet seen this but I think that Tangled was also a story about a girl who finds her destiny. It is one of my new Disney favorites.

Thanks for the candid review. I also have a 3 year old daughter and plan on taking her to see this movie as soon as it’s released.
Appreciate the tip on sticking around until after the credits. That can be hard to do with a 3 year old 🙂 Even though you didn’t give any details, I will trust whatever it is will be worth hanging around for.

Lots of movie in modern style changed tone of the who story, especially some with Asian background, to the ground that I could not finish the story. I hope this one is OK to watch.

Great review. I loved the movie too (even seeing it 2 days in a row). While I won’t be taking my 4-year-old nephew to see it because he would be way too scared, every kid is different.
