Delta Leak Detector Review

In our previous home we had a main line that we had to have cleaned out once a year or water would come into our home.  We also had tons of rain one year and our basement got flooded and we needed a drainage and sump pump to be installed.  I always had the fear something wouldn’t work right and it would be lots of thousands of dollars down the drain (pun non intended). I have so many items connected to wifi in our home that having a device that would let me know if there were any water problems seemed like a great idea!

The Delta Leak Detector was really easy to set up! The hardest part was finding a small screwdriver in our house since we just moved and some items have been lost. 🙂  Once I got the batteries in the device it was really easy to set up with the device. My first test with water drops did not set off the alarm right away, I had to push the middle button.  Once the alarm went off, I gave it another test and put more water on the detector.  The second time around it took about 1-2 minutes before I was sent a message that it had been activated.  So I know it works, and I am thinking I just didn’t wait long enough on my first test!

I love how I am able to set up bot my phone and my husband’s phone to get text messages in case of any water leaks!  The packaging came with batteries in the box and the instructions are super easy with pictures.  They are very simple!  You turn on the device, pair it, and you are pretty much finished!  Setting up the device only took about 3 minutes!

The app is easy to use too! You can set up your notifications very easily, I was able to clean my alarms with one button, and I love how I can also check my house temperature (although we already have a smart thermostat).
