“Love. Time. Death.”- Howard Intel (Will Smith)
Collateral Beauty Movie Review
Myla Tosatto
Do you want all the feels? Do you want every sad emotion to come bubbling out of you? Do you want to turn into a big, sloppy mess right before the holidays? Well, do I have a movie for you! David Frankel’s Collateral Beauty is a 3 hanky night at the cinema. Be sure to also check out our Collateral Beauty Movie quotes. Bring a shoulder to cry on and a pack of Kleenex. This is one where you might want to get some comfort chocolate at the concession stand. The movie starts with a very poised and positive Howard Intel (Will Smith) leading a meeting with his co-workers Claire (Kate Winslet), Whit (Edward Norton), and Simon (Michael Peña). The movie then blows up as we witness Howard’s life after a tragic loss. His friends hire actors Aimee Moore/Love (Keira Knightley), Brigitte/Death (Helen Mirren), and Raffi/Time (Jacob Latimore) to help them gain control of their sinking business. Along the way, they both help Howard wake up and help themselves discover the help they themselves need.
This movie is for anyone that has ever suffered a loss, for anyone that needs more time, anyone that accepts love as an absolute. Just go see it and enjoy the collateral beauty around you.
Also, I would like to nominate Helen Mirren for the most beautiful person that has ever graced the planet. How does that work? Should I start a petition?
Collateral Beauty is NOW playing in theaters.
