1. Idaho State University
Free 3 Credits
It doesn’t get any better than FREE, does it? I am constantly on a hunt for cheap graduate credit hours and bargains so when this offer came in the mail, I didn’t believe I could sign up for a FREE 3-credit graduate credit course.
The mailer reads, “The Albion Center for Professional Development is giving every educator aaa $200 Credit to say Thank You.”
Courses are $55/credit for graduate level, non-degree, and semester credit and they are online and self-paced. A three-credit class is only $165 and with my $200 credit, it was FREE!
I signed up for my first class and I didn’t see any issues with signing up it even says you can get your transcript for free too! The offer has a max limit and also expires December 2023 or until they run out of money. Now I also have $35 left to apply toward another course. That is a HECK of a deal and I am so grateful if this is all going to be smooth for me to earn an additional 3 credits to advance in my pay scale!
*Do me a favor, if you sign up for this class and tell your friends, please share the link to my blog. I earn a very small commission if anyone purchases anything and the traffic always helps me get sponsorships and it costs you nothing.
Before you sign up reach out to your district to make sure they accept the credits. I found out that in the past they did a Covid PD for credit and their transcript was signed by the Dean and not the Registrar. This system has NOW changed and my friends and I are receiving college credits for this when our district used to not accept it!
Sign up for the credit and get your free Idaho State University Teacher Credit class!
2. Ed Technology Specialists:
I found ONE 3-hour class that is cheap with this code! 50% Off Tuition For Your First Graduate Class! ONLY $189 With Code 50edtech2024 That is only $63/credit. Classes are fully accredited through Andrews University, Drake University, or Colorado State Pueblo.

3. Model Teaching
FREE Class:
WOOT WOOT! I found another free 1 CREDIT CLASS!
Go to Model Teaching here.
Select SHOP NOW.
Search the Note Card System (1 Credit).
At check out use code FREE-PD.
Now the class is FREE but you will have to pay $70 for the graduate credit! You usually also have to pay for the class!
Generally:
Model Teaching has courses for only $70 a credit. You pay to register depending on how many credits you want to take, then you pay $70 for each credit to receive your transcript.
It is only $149 but use code ModelTeaching15 and get the price down to ONLY $119.20 but you will have to pay $70 per credit hour to receive your transcript. So the total will cost you $329.00. You should get a discount in your cart when you use this link here!
4. VESi
VESi courses are by far the most affordable ones to get graduate credits for. Let me be honest, on these, you need to commit some time (but they are affordable). Each class I have taken has required me to do 4 tests and 7 various papers.
If you are part of a Union, you could get up to 3 classes (9 hours) for a total of only $200!
Sign up for VESi and if you let me know you signed up by emailing me I can receive credit. Let them know you signed up because of me, Enza Ketcham. Without the subscription they are about $395 for 3 credit hours.
5. Connected Classroom
I know several teachers who have taken classes through Connected Classroom. You can get several credit hours done pretty quickly and they are geared toward what you can use in your classroom.
Some of the work includes things you are doing for lesson plans already but now you can earn graduate credit for it!
Use code TEACHER for $15 off one class. Use NEA for $20 off at checkout for one class. (Bundles aren’t included in the discount.)
A 3-credit class is $379 (but you can do a subscription or less) and with $20 off making it only $359 for 3 hours.
6. Teacher’s Learning Center
TLC has Low-Cost Graduate Courses For Teacher License Renewal and Salary Advancement but you can also split payments into two different payments. TLC has classes you work at your own pace and of course credits to all 50 states!
A 3-credit class is $425.
7. Learners Edge
Learners Edge is your trusted partner for professional growth, license renewal, and salary advancement—all designed for educators, by educators. You can use code NEWCUST65 to get 15% off your first course.
What I like best about Learners Edge if 6 people sign up under the same link everyone will get a free one-hour credit course. So that means it would be $344-$389 for 4 credits! That is only $86/credit hour.
If you have a group of 6 or more teachers you can get a FREE credit course and also save up to $115 per course depending on how large your group is signing up. They also have a 9 Credit bundle for $1199.
A 3 Credit class is $459 a course. If you are a new customer you can get $65 off making it only $394 for 3 credit hours.
8. Credits for Teachers
You will be excited about these extra graduate classes because their 3 credit course is only $189!
When you go to sign up for the courses you will see that there is also a university fee, making the class about $350 depending on the university you choose.
This is still a really great price to move up the pay scale.
So Credits for Teachers is some of the best course prices I can find ends up being about $354 when you pick the college to count the classes for.
9. Advancement Courses
Get 15% off by using code FLOWER15 but there are more courses available for you to choose from. Use that link and get over $65 off a 3-credit class when you use REFER15. The Advancement Courses have over 280 different graduate classes to take. UPDATE new link for discount.
They are self-paced and online.
A 3 Credit Class is $449 – my link above should subtract $65 making it only $384.

Tips for Getting Started With Graduate Classes as a Teacher
The biggest and first tip I have is to recruit your friends. Having some accountability to encourage you to get the course completed is a great help. When you start to share with your work buddy how much you have completed, you encourage each other to get more done!
Second, don’t procrastinate. Once you sign up, dive into the class and start chipping away at it as fast as you can. Getting started is the toughest part and if you keep stopping you will have to do the toughest part over and over again.
Third, be digitally organized. Create a folder for your master’s classes that you organize by unit, assignment, and date. Make sure you are meeting any and all deadlines.
School Supplies for Teacher Graduate Credit
You don’t need much when it comes to taking classes again to move up the pay scale at work. The one thing that we absolutely love is a good notebook and a new set of colored pens.
Everyone is different but whenever I have a brand new hard-covered notebook like this one from Amazon it makes me happy.
I also LOVE a great brand new set of Flair pens to make notetaking fun!
