With all that is going on this world, I have learned that there is much more good than bad when I sat in front of Kansas City’s biggest celebrities this morning!

Get involved this year in Big Slick! Today is the 7th Big Slick Fundraiser in Kansas City. This isn’t just any fundraiser, it is made up of 5 talented actors and comedians who are all from Kansas City and are now friends! Today I was grateful to be a part of the Big Slick Kansas City Press Conference sitting directly in front of David Koechner (Anchorman), Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) Rob Riggle (21 Jump Street), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Jason Sudeikis (Angry Birds).

Last year, Rob Riggle shares with Huffington Post, “The event has increased in size, awareness, donations and celebrity attendance, but it still remains all about family: those families impacted by childhood illness and seeking care from the incredible doctors and team at Children’s Mercy; as well as my own family — and those of fellow co-hosts Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet — who volunteer countless hours to make Big Slick and the more than $2.2MM it’s raised (a record $1MM in 2014) possible.”  It has NOW raised over 3.25 MILLION!  Lets get this event growing MORE each year!

Here are a few things you can do!

• Donate at BigSlickKC.org!
• Go to the Royal game this evening, if you are there early you can watch the celebrity softball game and proceeds go to help Big Slick (June 17th)!
• Purchase a Charlie Hustle shirt, profits also go to help BigSlickKC.org!
• Participate in all of the weekend events! A red carpet, a block party, and more!

Each year these guys do an amazing job and getting tons of celebrities together to raise money for a VERY well known Kansas City Children’s Miracle Network Hospital called Children’s Mercy.  This is no longer a local event, but definitely becoming national!

This year I sat in front of these amazing guys!  I have been honored to interview Paul Rudd a couple of times, and Jason Sudeikis recently in Hawaii for Angry Birds, but the rest our definitely on my celeb wish list because they are what Kansas City means and stands for! We are a small town in a big city!  Hearing these gentlemen talk about their philanthropy, the kids they worked with, and truly enjoying what they are doing definitely helps light a spark under my butt to want to do more! With all that is going on this world, I have learned that there is much more good than bad!
