It is getting hot in Kansas City and not all of us have access to a pool! Even if we do we want to find other ways to stay cool. We wanted to share the best Kansas City Splash Pads and Spraygrounds for the Kansas City area!

We love Splash Pads and Spraygrounds for the little ones. I would say they are even fun for the big kids if they have a friend with them.
We asked around for everyone’s favorite Splash Pads and Spraygrounds and here is our list of the ones you should visit!

Kansas City Splash Pads
Zona Rosa Central Park

Zona Rosa is a shopping center and has a central park area that was created to allow kids to splash and play! Be sure to enjoy an entire day of fun and food! We recently just grabbed some Groupons for an hour of play at the Draftcade arcade!

Burrus Old Mill Park
12 NW Woods Chapel Rd.
Blue Springs, MO 64015
Burrus Old Mill Park is one of our favorites and it is so big. It is definitely worth the drive. It includes 2 shelter houses, a playground splash pad, a baseball field, basketball court, volleyball court, restroom building, skate park, and a trail to explore!

Dagg Park

North Kansas City, MO 64116
Dagg Park is located in North Kansas City. They renovated it several years ago and it is huge with playgrounds, great parking, and even a Dairy Queen right across the street for those who love a cool treat after a hot day.
McCoy Park
24 Highway and North Delaware

McCoy Park is located near 24 Highway &, N. Delaware St in Independence. It is worth the drive to allow your kids to cool off!

Lykins Square Sprayground

Lykins Square located in Independence has a nice little sprayground that was some of your favorites! Definitely, one to check out for fun!

Liberty City Park Spraygrounds
970 Rte 291

This is a brand new park with a Splash Pad that is well-loved. The new playground and Splash Pad finally got renovated at the end of the pandemic. Everything is nearby and is easy to access being right off of 291.
Ruth Moore Park and Splash Pad
401 Grover St.
Liberty, MO 64068
This is a small park but it is fun! It is located near Liberty Historical Square and has a playground with a zipline and splash pad. We have gone when it hasn’t been very busy and have really enjoyed it. You are so close to Classy Chocolate bakery that has the BEST chocolate chip cookies if you want to support locals and be addicted to new cookies!
Lions Memorial Park

We love Lions Memorial Park in Kearney! It has a small picnic area, a playground, a huge sprayground, and restrooms.
T.B. Hanna Station Park
214 S Washington St.
Raymore, MO 64083
This is a Variety KC Sprayground making it inclusive. It is one of the first on my list that I personally want to check out. The park is a train theme splash park! It looks so cute and so fun!
Roe Park

Roe Park has not only a Splash Pad but several play areas, a huge picnic area, walking trails, and great photo ops.
Smithville Splash Pad at Diamond Crest Park

Enjoy the park which has a splash pad, playground, and an old railroad trail. The image below is the new playground the park!

We will continue our list below. Sometimes the smaller ones that aren’t as fancy become the best spots to avoid the crowds and the best spots for the youngest of kids.

What do you need for a Splash Pad?
You don’t really need anything. I always bring some towels, empty cups to play in the water with, sunscreen, water shoes, and tennis shoes, a cooler with than icepack, and sometimes I pack some lawn chairs.
