What is the movie rated?
The movie is rated PG for parental guidance. There is quite a bit of smoking because of when it takes place. There is also some bad language throughout the movie.
Update. A reader mentioned the theatrical version of the movie compared to the screener had a different language. Here was his update, “I just got back from watching the theatrical version and I watched and listened very closely the entire time. While they removed MOST of the bad language, they did not remove all of it. Most of the instances of “damn” were replaced with “darn” or “dang” but one of them at the very end wasn’t. It definitely sounded like a clear “Take your damn base.”

About 55 minutes into the movie, they show Rickey and his girlfriend as teenagers.
Does the movie have any controversial or sensitive themes?
No, it does not. This is a good Christian movie. It is definitely a movie that believers and nonbelievers could get behind with it being based on a true story.
