Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Advance Screening
About TMNT:
In May 1984, Mirage Studios published the first issue of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” The comic book was a parody of popular comics at the time, featuring four anthropomorphic turtles trained in ninjutsu by their rat sensei, Splinter. They were named after famous Renaissance artists: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael.
The success of the comic book led to the creation of an animated TV series in 1987. This show introduced the Turtles to a wider audience and became a cultural phenomenon in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Shredder and my favorite, April were introduced. I always wanted to be April as a kid growing up!
The popularity of the animated series inspired a series of live-action films. The first movie, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” was released in 1990. The film was a commercial success and led to the creation of two sequels: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” (1991) and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III” (1993).
After several reboots and a different live-action film, we are now here in 2023 with new and advanced CGI and technology to create this film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
The trailer and art style look amazing and we can’t wait to see it! I see some inspiration and trends started with Sony’s Into the Spider-Verse movie! It also reminds me a lot of claymation with the 3D Animated effects!
About the Movie:
After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
