When I was asked to share a HelloFresh Meals Review and collaborate with HelloFresh, I was as nervous as heck! Of course I was so excited to have a great deal for you below too! True story, at one point in time I was asked to fly to New York to participate in the Worst Cooks of America Show. I had to turn down that opportunity, but the truth is I don’t cook much, I stick to a few staples, and I make a lot of mistakes when cooking. This post is sponsored and contains affiliate links. HelloFresh Meals Review
Besides not being the cook in the family, that is my husband’s job, my family and I are very picky eaters. There is very little variety in our lunches and our dinners. I need variety because our family gets very bored with our day-to-day staples.
I work a lot and looking up recipes, finding and buying ingredients without forgetting anything, and having the family eat it are all three things that barely sync up. HelloFresh takes away the stress of looking up recipes, going to the store to buy multiple ingredients that you end up only using once, and then actually worrying about eating them.
I was sent my first HelloFresh box and was excited to try the recipes and was also concerned about how hard it would be the cook them. I’m an amateur I had to google what lemon zest meant!
I have also been working on saving money at the grocery stores! So now I can purchase the staples and not worry about several meals throughout the week. HelloFresh helps me feel like a Pinterest Mom although we all know that sometimes life makes me the Hot Mess Mom.
The meals that I reviewed are the Tuscan Beef-Stuffed Peppers, Chicken Penne al Limone, and Sweet Chili Beef Bowls.
Chicken Penne al Limone
The Chicken Penne al Limone was so good! My daughter and I both ate it and leftovers weren’t just tossed in the fridge to hibernate until trash day. It all got eaten. Every single bite!
This HelloFresh meal is described as, “ This rich, tangy, oh-so-easy sauce comes together in a flash with lemon juice and zest, Parmesan, and butter—plus toasted garlic and a cream sauce base for good measure. It’s all tossed with penne noodles, sautéed zucchini, and chicken breast strips, then garnished with fresh basil and more Parm.”
This was paired deliciously with my Mom’s Italian Bread!
My family loves red pepper so we spiced it up with some red pepper.
Sweet Chili Beef Bowls
The Sweet Chili Beef Bowls were good too! It had an interesting flavor. It was a boost from the boring flavors on most meals we eat at home. This probably isn’t one that I would order again because I prefer fewer combinations of flavors when it comes to my meals.
This meal is described as, “ground beef and green beans coated in a sumptuous sweet chili sauce, then topped with fresh cilantro and crispy fried onions. Everything comes together over a bed of fluffy rice.”
Tuscan Beef-Stuffed Peppers
I got a little nervous to try these because I didn’t cook them within a week of receiving them. Since the ingredients are fresh, I didn’t think it would be fair to cook it if I was questioning how long I left it in my fridge.
This meal is “hollowed-out bell peppers are filled with any combination of meat, grains, vegetables, and spices.” So it sounds amazing! I wish I would have tried these first, but they are going to need to go on my next HelloFresh order if it is offered.
