Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the most recent Ghostbuster film, and I’ve been waiting to tell you what I think about it. This film ignores the 2016 Ghostbusters film with a female cast and takes place years after what we know as Millenials and Gen Zers from the original Ghostbusters films. Throughout the writing, the film sheds a light on Harold Ramis and pays tribute to him. One of the neat things about this movie is that it was directed by Jason Reitman (son of the original director, Ivan Reitman). Ghostbusters: Afterlife Review
Ghostbusters: Afterlife Review
I found the movie to be excellent and filled with a gazillion easter eggs. The movie had a goonies-like feel that was filled with adventure, comedy, and heart. It is a movie for the entire family although I did jump a couple of times with anticipation of what was going to happen next. When you are watching this new movie it will have a real familiar feel throughout many different scenes.
The cast is also amazing. Although it is missing Harold Ramis, he isn’t forgotten. You will recognize Trevor played by Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things! He is a great actor and a great cast choice. We aren’t going to ignore the world’s sexiest man and KC local, Paul Rudd. The cast continues with some of the original cast members along with McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon.
