About The Secret Life of Pets 2
Illumination’s tenth feature, The Secret Life of Pets 2, is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 comedic blockbuster that had the biggest opening weekend ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.
Packed with Illumination’s signature irreverence and subversive humor, this new chapter explores the emotional lives of our pets, the deep bond between them and the families that love them, and answers the question that has long intrigued every pet owner: What are your pets really doing when you’re not at home?
Terrier Max (Patton Oswalt) is coping with some major life changes. His owner (Ellie Kemper) is now married and has a toddler, Liam. Max is so worried about protecting the boy that he develops a nervous tic. On a family trip to a farm, Max and mutt Duke (Eric Stonestreet) encounter canine-intolerant cows, hostile foxes and a terrifying turkey, all of which only elevates Max’s anxiety. Luckily, Max gets some guidance from veteran farm dog Rooster (Harrison Ford, making his animated-film debut), who pushes Max to ditch his neuroses, find his inner alpha, and give Liam a little more freedom.
Meanwhile, while her owner is away, plucky Pomeranian Gidget (Jenny Slate) tries to rescue Max’s favorite toy from a cat-packed apartment with a little help from her feline friend, Chloe (Lake Bell), who has discovered the joys of catnip.
And crazy-but-cute bunny Snowball (Kevin Hart) gets delusions of grandeur that he’s an actual superhero after his owner Molly starts dressing him in superhero pajamas. But when Daisy (Tiffany Haddish), a fearless Shih Tzu, shows up to ask for Snowball’s help on a dangerous mission, he’ll have to summon the courage to become the hero he’s only been pretending to be.
Can Max, Snowball, Gidget and the rest of the gang find the inner courage to face their biggest fears?
Now playing in theaters on Friday, June 7th. Rated PG for some action and rude humor.

Back when our family had a graduation party, we left a meat and cheese tray on the table for later. Our dog, George, didn’t think it was for later and flung the tray off the table when no one was around and enjoyed his feast. We had no idea until we came back into the room ready to serve it!

Hi Enza!
We have a 4 lb. yorkie named Jaxson. He is 6 years old. One afternoom, we were having a picnic and sitting on a blanket. We were all eating and Jaxson jumped up and ate our son’s chicken right off his fork. Our son was only 3 at the time. He started tearing up and had a surprised look on his face. Lol!

We have a Boston Terrier, Junebug, that is 14 now. Back in 2006 when we had a bad ice storm, he got out our door and had my hubby chasing him on ice. We were terrified at the time, but it turned out ok.

when my dog was a puppy he got out of the yard. I went after him and he thought we were playing chase. He ran down the street, around the corner and went into a liquor store. It had an automatic opening door so he went inside and sat down to wait for me

My cat spends a lot of time guarding the window. Maybe she is a guard cat. Maybe she is hiding a secret. I may figure out her reasons when I see this movie.

after the last four days I think I need to accept that the universe wants me to have a black snake as a pet. We’ve found three in our house in those last four days.

Kiki !!! Owe!!! You bit mommy!!! Then she goes right back to purring and snuggling as long as she gets rubbed and cuddled!!! Spoiled Rotten!!!

When we were growing up, we had a tiny Chinese Crested Powderpuff named Buddy. My brother was only 4 at the time. We were eating cheeseburgers for dinner. He took one bite of it and held it out. Next thing he knew, Buddy jumped and took off with it and it ate it in less than 5 seconds. We were laughing, but not shocked since he never took anyone’s food before. I guess the little guy was hungry and thought the burger would be good.

This is not a funny pet story but rather a funny wildlife intruder story. In the past I have kept my house trash bin out on my back porch that was in closed at the time. Once night my wife who happens to be deaf went out and threw something in the trash and then walked away, I heard a hissing sound and looked out and saw a possum tail hanging out of the trash bin. This possum had knocked out the screen of the window and gotten into our trash. Unfortunately the only way to get this thing out of the house was to drag the whole trash can through the house to my front porch and let it escape there. All while my wife is looking at me like I am nuts because she can’t see its tail and can’t hear the hissing. It wasn’t until I dumper over the trash can and the possum ran out that she understood that I had not completely lost my mind.
