Doctor Strange Mads Mikkelsen Interview – “Kaecilius”

To all of the Fanibals! I got to interview Mads Mikkelsen! He was so great and so appreciative of all of his fans! He totally had us smiling and laughing and he is quite a friendly villain if you know what I mean! He does an amazing job in the film!

I need to thank all of you who were submitting questions for us to ask on twitter!  Mads is an amazing actor and all of you are such amazing fans!  Being able to see how amazing of a cast Marvel put together for this film is so much fun!  They all had some great chemistry on set!

I have a feeling that when we see more of Doctor Strange we will learn even more about the depth of Kaecilius (the villain) in this movie!  I tend to gravitate towards villains because many of them have some great reasons on why they act how they act in Marvel movies!

Here are some fun facts that Mads shared with us during the interview! You won’t read about these anywhere else if you are a Marvel fan except for here!  ENJOY!

• We learned that Mads costume was very heavy!
• We asked if he could keep anything from the set what would it be?  He laughed and said that he “MAY” but couldn’t say or they would want it back.
• His most challenging scene was a fight scene that took 3 weeks to film.
• Mads said he has been waiting 51 years to collect himself as a toy.
• Mads makeup took 2-3 hours to do.  He said during that time he would close his eyes and go through the scene they were doing for that day.
• We asked, “How does it feel to not only have your name cemented in Marvel universe, but also the Star Wars Universe?” and Mads responded with, “It seems appropriate!”
• Christopher Walken is one of Mads’s heroes! Mads shared, “I think he has the ability to, to somehow make the villains likeable.”
• Also we learned that every day is different and there really wasn’t a typical day on set!  “I probably smoke a cigarette, and we go in and work. And then I go home at six, seven, eight in the evening. “
