This post is my July Tech post brought to you as a Verizon Ambassador. From time to time I am sent product to feature and review. Today my store is about how I fixed the issue with my new Kia Sorento Bluetooth and Maps App sound since I realized I am not the only one who struggled to get it synced.
I had the hardest time getting the sound of my GPS turn by turn directions to sync with my Bluetooth in my new Kia Sorento. Once I found the answer on how to fix it in my car, I decided I had to share with all of you! I am a #VZWBuzz ambassador and sharing is caring! I learned that I am not the only one who was having the same issue. My hands free calling was working great! My car doesn’t have GPS but I should have been easily able to get the sound of my phone to come through my speakers.
I asked online, I googled, I searched and I found so many different answers. I read that it was a problem with the new phone updates. I was told to delete my phone settings from my car and start over. I went through and tried every setting on my radio and nothing seemed to work. I also went through all my phone settings that I can find. I even tried plugging in my auxiliary cord that another person suggested. Nothing had worked until now!
It was really frustrating because the sound wasn’t coming from my phone OR my car. I had to get the directions from the slight vibration of my smart watch which was hard to check when I didn’t know where I was going. Who wants to be driving looking at a 1 inch by 1 inch turn by turn written directions on their watch?
The answer on why my turn by turn navigation wasn’t working on my bluetooth in my car was right in front of my face in the palm of my hand. It was such an easy fix and now it works!
1. Was my phone correctly connected to bluetooth? YES
2. Once your phone is connected and you have started your direction route check out the little icon on your app. Click on that and select the option for the sound to come through your speakers! TADA!
I bought a new car a couple of months ago. I do enjoy my new car, but it took me a bit of time to set up the technology in it. It isn’t because I am not technologically savvy, because I am.
