I am so excited to finally share my Angry Birds Movie Review! The app has been so popular for years, the question that everyone is wanting to know is, “Does Angry Birds movie live up to the hype?” The app has been popular for years, but why not release this movie 3 years ago? The movie took 3 years to create I learned! It had been that long since the conversation of the movie had been introduced!
About Angry Birds Movie
Flightless birds lead a mostly happy existence, except for Red (Jason Sudeikis), who just can’t get past the daily annoyances of life. His temperament leads him to anger management class, where he meets fellow misfits Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb. Red becomes even more agitated when his feathered brethren welcome green pigs to their island paradise. As the swine begin to get under his skin, Red joins forces with Chuck and Bomb to investigate the real reason behind their mysterious arrival.
My Angry Birds Movie Review
The movie is a GREAT family movie! Your kids will love it! There is lots of comedy for kids (and for adults)! It will keep your family’s attention without being too scary. It covers the topic of dealing with anger and feelings. It also touches on family and friendship. Seeing Josh Gad (who you will recognize from his role as Olaf) is hilarious! The cast are all A-list actors, actresses, and comedians! Jason Sudeikis plays Red and does a spectacular job!
If your kids are familiar with the app, it plays into the story because they all have special abilities! You will learn that through a great job at character building and storytelling! What I have learned is that every movie is successful or not successful based on the ability to tell a good story. Finally learning how terrible the pigs are to Bird Island buys you into the story and great comedy of the animated movie!
I think your kids are going to LOVE the movie! I can’t wait to take my kids to see it too! Plus, the hatchlings are SO adorable! I can’t wait until the hatchlings merchandise comes out! I found the movie funny and heartwarming! See….you can see my quote in the movie preview here.
I was blessed to have been invited to the Angry Birds Press Junket in Hawaii where I met the character, great media across the US, and enjoyed the film with new and old friends!
Watching the movie in Maui was so much fun! We went during our fist night so it felt like 2am for me!
