I was provided a review copy of The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar and wrote about it because it is AWESOME!

My kids are absolutely nuts about The Lion Guard, I mean nuts they love it! Now available on DVD is The Lion Guard Return of the Roar! This is a show that follows Simba’s second born cub Kion as he forms and leads the Lion Guard, a grouping of lions that protects the pride lands. So couple the brilliant and iconic pride lands from the Lion King and some of the favorite characters from the original movie (Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki) coupled with incredibly consistent new characters.

The show follows Kion as he forms an untraditional Lion Guard that consists of four non-lions. Ono, keenest of sight a cattle egret (bird), Bunga, the bravest a honey badger, Beshte a hippo who is the strongest and Fuli a cheetah, the fastest (obviously). Simba is a constant and is voiced by Rob Lowe, literally the greatest Simba of all time (see what I did there?!?).

The theme song is catchy and addictive and will fast become one of your little one’s favorite songs to sing, but there is great music throughout the show and tons of humor, keeping the tradition from the first movie.
