Holiday Family Activities While the Kids Are Off School
In only a couple of days the kids will be off school, I will be off work, my husband says home…and we have to keep our SANITY, have FUN, and LOVE each other! I teamed up with Hasbro to create these tips on what to do with your family! When it comes to Holidays the one thing that is important to me is, “family time”. What are some of the TOP activities that you can do with your family when all of a sudden you went from barely spending time together to having LOTS of family time!
First of all it is time to keep your sanity and CHERISH this moment! Every year is different with family. Eventually the kids get too old, they get married, they movie out, they have significant others and have to split their time with you and the other person. So how do you make memories with your family with some fun Holiday Family Activities?
Holiday Family Activities Ideas
1. Bake SOME cookies! I love it when our family gathers around food! You don’t have to make a mess out of your kitchen either! Sometimes I will just get frozen cookie dough and make those with my family! Get a few different kids and create little cookie baskets but TOTALLY include the kids in the baking and the decorating!
2. Go to the movies or have a movie night! There are so many good movies that come out in December! If you are trying to budget a movie night with popcorn a DVD, a blanket tent, and snacks are some of our favorite family things to do together!
3. Have a FAMILY game night! I was lucky to have teamed up with Hasbro and then sent us lots of games! Having a PLANNED game night is really exciting and a fun family tradition! Once you have filled your bellies have some fun by playing some games together! I promise you family won’t be disappointed!
Hasbro bringing families together!
With my daughter being 6 we were able to play most with her. My 2 year old loves Hungry Hippo AND just putting Connect 4 pieces in random places! Plus, as my girls get older they are going to LOVE playing the classic games from Hasbro Gaming!
The Holidays are just around the corner and if you have anyone left on your list or looking to purchase a “family gift” give them the gift of gaming! Don’t forget to “get your game on” with your family!
