Whether you are looking to take your family to the movie this weekend OR just want to get away from them to watch some new Pixar magic, be sure to check out Inside Out!
Inside Out Review
As I share my Inside Out Review with all of you, there is probably going to be a lot of bias. I am totally invested in this amazing movie and the hard work that the Pixar team did for over 4 years in creating it. As many of you have read my blog, I went behind the scenes with this one and attended the Inside Out press junket. While at the junket we only were able to watch 45 minutes of the movie. So I have finally seen it all and here is what I thought!
When the opportunity came to be able to screen Inside Out there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I would change any plans I might have had, drive about an hour, and take my 6 year old to see the movie! I have a very emotional daughter and she was definitely scared during the middle of the movie. Once we left the theater, she didn’t stop looking about it.
As you take your entire family to see this movie it has so much depth to it that you are going to love the conversations that come about. It talks about how you find joy in sadness and even sadness in joy. It talks about how our personalities are created and how we create memories. How our memories bring back feelings. Without sadness you can’t have happy. The pressure in expecting people to be happy is a great lesson in itself as well. I can go on and on about how many in depth lessons this movie teaches. Overall it is extremely entertaining.
Inside Out is visually appealing! It has many vibrant colors and it has huge differences from when you are seeing scenes in the real world and scenes that are going in in Riley’s mind. It is almost two movies into one. The levels of saturation to the bubbly colors glowing off of the emotions are magical to an extent.
You definitely have LOTS of great humor in the movie. You will leave wanting to be like Joy, wanting to give sadness a hug, and my favorite character and emotion was definitely “ANGER”! He for sure, hands down, had the FUNNIEST lines in the movie!
Inside Out Anger Quotes
“We got an airplane!”
“These are my type of people.”
“I saw a really hairy guy, he looked like a bear!”
“The mom bad news train is coming in…TOOT TOOT!”
These are just a few of my favorite quotes from this guy!
So Anger was my favorite part, as for my 6 year old she loved the very end! Her favorite part was the end when they had dog voices in the dog head!

Inside Out is amazing. The amount of emotion, insight and catharsis on offer in this animation puts most serious adult films to shame.
