Disclosure: “The Walmart gift cards for the giveaway and to me, plus information have been provided by P&G.”
There are tons of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the nation! I am excited to announce that Pampers and Walmart have teamed up this month to help raise $200,000. When you purchase Pampers Swaddlers, portions of the proceeds go to help these Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Miracle Children. Although my family hasn’t had to experience working directly with a Children’s Miracle Network hospital I know people who have! Please check out some of these stories and be sure to enter this nice giveaway they have offered to help spread the word.
Visit Walmart for more information and to make your donation.
A good friend of the family grew up in and out of our local Children’s Mercy hospital here in Kansas City, which is part of Children’s Miracle Network. He is our age now so I asked him to share with me his experience growing up and working with them. To this day he still helps participate in fundraisers in the city since he believes in all that they have done to help out kids who need help the most.
The story that he shared with me was just about HOW many good things they do to keep kids living a normal life although they were in the hospital. He remembers a famous scientist coming in to keep kids entertained, video games, and tons of activities and fun stuff for kids! I was shocked to learn that they actually work with kids until the age of 21! So our friend was able to use their services until then! Our FRIEND used them for as long as he possibly can. He now shares his story with the local radio station from time to time during their fundraising period!
I have another friend who is a nurse and she shared how the Children’s Miracle Network helped raise funds to pay for their medical care for her brother. He was diagnosed with cancer at 15 and they ended up losing their house over medical bills. However, Children’s Miracle Network was so great in covering the cost of what their insurance didn’t pay and helped save their family from bankruptcy! Her brother is now a survivor with 3 children of his own!
Information about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals:
· Your support helps provide 32 million patient visits for 10 million kids every year
